We’re excited to announce the official launch of Together Gloucestershire, a pioneering new initiative designed to revolutionise how businesses in our county buy, sell, and grow. More than just a platform, Together Gloucestershire is a movement. One that champions ethical procurement, sustainability, and inclusive economic development right here in Gloucestershire.
Developed with Gloucestershire, for Gloucestershire
Together Gloucestershire was co-created with input from local businesses, business support organisations, and key anchor institutions—including councils, universities, and NHS trusts. Early supporters of the platform include St James’s Place, Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Spirax Sarco, Cheltenham Borough Council, Cotswold District Council, Gloucestershire NHS Trust, Forest of Dean District Council, Renishaw and Gloucestershire County Council, among many others.
Connecting businesses, creating opportunities
At the heart of Together Gloucestershire is a powerful vision to help the county’s brilliant small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) connect with major public and private sector buyers. Whether you’re a sole trader or a larger SME, our platform offers an invaluable gateway to new procurement opportunities, while supporting major organisations in finding trusted, local suppliers.
Together Gloucestershire offers a suite of tools and resources to help businesses thrive:
- An intuitive supplier directory: Large buyers can easily find qualified, ethical suppliers based in Gloucestershire.
- Opportunities for growth: SMEs can showcase their credentials, boost their credibility, and access procurement opportunities that were previously out of reach.
- A hub for knowledge and collaboration: The platform provides access to best practices, events, and resources focused on sustainable commerce and strengthening local supply chains.
Every business that joins Together Gloucestershire commits to our Ethical Business Promise, signalling to buyers and the wider community that they operate responsibly and sustainably. This shared commitment helps build trust and ensures that procurement decisions create positive social and environmental impact.
“Together Gloucestershire is more than just another business platform. It’s a movement,” says Adam Vines, one of the project’s founding partners. “We’re here to create real economic opportunities for SMEs and make procurement easier for large organisations seeking strong, ethical partners. We believe this can become a model for other counties to follow.”
