Epoch AI has recently hired Dr. Amudha Kumari Duraisamy as Head of AI Engineering, and she is, quite simply, exceptional. Amudha brings 7+ years of data science and applied ML experience, with deep expertise in LLMs, agentic AI, and machine learning pipelines. But what makes her truly unique is her scientific domain knowledge, with roots in Max Planck-level research institutions, bringing world-class expertise in machine learning, LLMs, and biotech AI to Epoch. She’s built production AI systems in structural biology at EMBL-EBI, worked on waste-to-sustainable aviation fuel bioconversion at Neela Biotech, and holds a PhD in Physics. She’s the kind of engineer who can walk into a biotech lab, understand the science, and build the AI tools to transform it.

SHIFT Environment
In recent months at SHIFT Environment, they have been conducting energy audit reports on GP surgeries in the Gloucestershire area. In total, 68 practices were visited and audited on their energy usage, and their trusted assessors identified energy saving opportunities at each practice, whether the surgery was a purpose-built new build, or an older, repurposed building. A mixture of full and reduced energy audits were conducted. In general, the reports return savings of over 3 times the amount of their assessment charge.

The Salve Health
The Salve Health, a Medical Communications consultancy based in Cheltenham and operating globally, are finalists at the prestigious Communique Awards 2026, held in London’s Mayfair on Thursday 02 July. The Salve are finalists in the ‘Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’ award for their work in women’s health and raising awareness of health equity challenges in pharmaceutical medicines development. ITSA Digital Trust
Another shipment of computers was successfully sent to support schools in Zimbabwe and over 200 Gloucestershire charities have now received computers from Cheltenham charity The ITSA Digital Trust. At the start of June 2026, 700 donated and refurbished computers were shipped to schools in Zimbabwe. ➡️ 1 computer will impact 100 students ➡️ 70,000 students impacted!
