We’re delighted to confirm our partnership with global engineering and professional services firm WSP.
Designed to strengthen the Gloucestershire economy by connecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with large public and private sector buyers like WSP, this partnership is exciting news for Together Gloucestershire and our members. Through the partnership, WSP’s Cheltenham and Gloucester offices will use the Together Gloucestershire platform to source local businesses for its projects. The company, which has offices in almost 50 countries, works with clients across more than 100 sectors and 180 services, including structural engineering, urban design and planning, cultural heritage and archaeology, and landscape architecture.
As part of the partnership, WSP is also hosting the first Together Gloucestershire Meet the Buyer event from 10am to 3pm on the 29 April 2026 at Patch Gloucester. The event will give Gloucestershire businesses meaningful access to WSP’s procurement team, insight into supply chain priorities, and the knowledge to position themselves as credible partners. WSP is actively looking to increase the number of Gloucestershire suppliers through this event.
Together Gloucestershire has been developed with support from local chambers of commerce, the Federation of Small Businesses and other county partners, and aims to increase local investment, foster job creation, and reduce environmental impact by promoting responsible business practices and social value across the region. Our buying partners are pledging to increase their local supply chain sourcing by between 5% and 15% each. This could mean as much as an extra half a billion pounds being spent in the local economy in Gloucestershire in the coming years, and Together Gloucestershire members will be first in line to benefit.
“We’re delighted to welcome WSP as a partner and have them as the first host of our Meet the Buyer event series,” said Adam Vines, co-founder of Together Gloucestershire. “This partnership reflects a shared commitment to support Gloucestershire businesses and recognises the essential role they can play. We’re looking forward to seeing how WSP uses the platform to help streamline its procurement locally and celebrating its work with Gloucestershire-based businesses.”
We look forward to working with WSP to explore practical ways of collaborating on initiatives that support wellbeing, community resilience and local leadership.
